Development

  • I worked at the World Bank from 2011-14 where I learned about government and politics, and deployed large scale data collection systems using call centres (for remote capture) and smartphones (for in-situ capture).
  • In 2012, I co-founded Technology for People Initiative, a non-profit design studio, with $50,000 from Google to locally design tech solutions for government, and ran it till 2014.
  • I’ve done freelance technology consulting for the International Growth Center (IGC), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), United States Institute of Peace (USIP) and the Government of Punjab, Pakistan.
  • I have a Masters in Development Practice from UC Berkeley. My research work included evaluating disaster preparedness in Pakistan, and impact of disaster risk reduction efforts on election outcomes in India.

My development work has been featured by Foreign PolicyThe Guardian, and The Economist, among others.
