Inventing new ways to solve public service delivery challenges using design thinking and technology

  • Co-founded with Sohaib Khan, PhD
  • Setup with USD 50K seed grant from Google — raised additional USD 400K from UKAid, World Bank and USAID
  • Developed and piloted mobile-based crime mapping solution in 4 police stations in Lahore, Pakistan. It was scaled up by the government to the entire city.
  • Also worked on judicial management and using remote-sensing for poverty mapping
  • Led client relations, product, UI/UX, partnerships, fundraising and project management. Built and led 14-person team of engineers, designers and researchers.

I setup and led the centre till 2014 when I hired my replacement and left for graduate school. The centre continues to operate and work on interesting projects.
